Job summary

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) is seeking a Test & Evaluation Technician in Manassas, VA for an Agile, CI/CD–driven role focused on hardware and software testing. You will support I&T engineers and technicians, helping isolate root causes and verify resolutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include documenting test results, managing hardware/software configurations, and performing regular build checkouts and troubleshooting. Must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to read and understand technical information, system level diagrams, tables, slide packages and drawings.
• Understanding of basic networking characteristics, standards, and equipment.
• Ability to conduct troubleshooting and testing with procedures.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.

Test & Evaluation Technician Job Description:

The candidate will work in an Agile environment focused on continuous integration and development of hardware and software. Performs system testing and evaluation tasks and activities. Providing support to system Integration and Test (I&T) engineers and technicians. Responsible for assisting the system I&T engineering teams in isolating root cause of problems. Verify and Validate issue resolution efforts. Performs basic hardware/software installation and maintenance operation related tasks. Manage hardware and software configurations. Documents system test results, failure reports, and documentation deficiencies. Performs build checkouts on a regular basis. Troubleshoot hardware and software related issues. Assists the system I&T engineering teams in isolating root cause of problems.

Test & Evaluation Required Skills:

• Ability to work independently and in a team dynamic.
• Ability to read and understand technical information, system level diagrams, tables, slide packages and drawings.
• Understanding of basic networking characteristics, standards, and equipment.
• Ability to conduct troubleshooting and testing with procedures.

Test & Evaluation Desired Skills:

• Previous experience with submarine systems and subsystems.
• Working knowledge of Linux command line.
• Working knowledge with hardware stand-up to include wiring, server setup and switch installation.
• College degree (completed or in progress) in related discipline, and/or former military experience.
• High School Equivalence Entry — or intermediate-level employee and 0-2 years’ experience.
