Job summary

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. in Manassas, VA, is seeking a Test & Evaluation professional to join an Agile hardware/software team. The role focuses on system testing, integration, and validating issue resolutions while supporting I&T engineers and technicians.

Applicants should be able to interpret technical diagrams, read networks, and perform basic troubleshooting. Relocation assistance is available; start date is negotiable.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand technical information, system level diagrams, tables, slide packages and drawings.
• Understanding of basic networking characteristics, standards, and equipment.
• Ability to conduct troubleshooting and testing with procedures.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance (U.S. citizen).
• College degree in a related discipline or former military experience.

Location Manassas, VA (Relocation Assistance Available)

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support

The candidate will work in an Agile environment focused on continuous integration and development of hardware and software. Performs system testing and evaluation tasks and activities. Providing support to system Integration and Test (I&T) engineers and technicians. Responsible for assisting the system I&T engineering teams in isolating root cause of problems. Verify and Validate issue resolution efforts. Performs basic hardware/software installation and maintenance operation related tasks. Manage hardware and software configurations. Documents system test results, failure reports, and documentation deficiencies. Performs build checkouts on a regular basis. Troubleshoot hardware and software related issues. Assists the system I&T engineering teams in isolating root cause of problems.

Test & Evaluation Required Skills:

• Ability to work independently and in a team dynamic.
• Ability to read and understand technical information, system level diagrams, tables, slide packages and drawings.
• Understanding of basic networking characteristics, standards, and equipment.
• Ability to conduct troubleshooting and testing with procedures.
• Candidate m ust be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.

Test & Evaluation Desired Skills:

• Previous experience with submarine systems and subsystems.
• Working knowledge of Linux command line.
• Working knowledge with hardware stand-up to include wiring, server setup and switch installation.
• College degree (completed or in progress) in related discipline, and/or former military experience.
• High School Equivalence Entry – or intermediate-level employee and 0-2 years’ experience.

Job Type: Full-Time Employee, 40 hours/week.

Start Date: Negotiable

Salary Range: $55,000 - $105,000
