Job summary

Systek seeks a TEST & EVALUATION (T&E) SPECIALIST – DEVELOPMENTAL TESTER in Hanover, MD to plan and execute developmental testing for a DoD program. Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

The role involves coordinating with the Prime Contractor, developing test cases from user feedback, and executing tests across multiple operating systems. The candidate will build and run test automation (PyTest, Xray, Zephyr) and document results for the T&E Officer, supporting acquisition documents

Qualifications

• : Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science/engineering preferred; 4 years of additional experience may substitute for degree.
• : Minimum of 5 years in systems integration, verification, and testing on a DoD program, plus 5 years devising test strategies, writing test plans, procedures and reports

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute developmental testing activities.
• Work with a system-of-systems and multiple OS (Ubuntu, Windows, Kali).
• Coordinate with Prime Contractor to understand and support their test efforts and release pipeline.
• Develop test cases from system user feedback for Production use.
• Execute software test cases and document results for Government T&E Officer.
• Research test escapes and create new test cases and recommendations.
• Advise on how to improve developmental tests for the Government T&E officer.
• Support Integrated Product Team meetings and acquisition documents (TES etc.).
• Develop and execute test automation frameworks (PyTest, Xray, Zephyr).
• Familiarize with Atlassian products (JIRA and Confluence).

TEST & EVALUATION (T&E) SPECIALIST – DEVELOPMENTAL TESTER

The company is seeking Test & Evaluation (T&E) Specialist - Developmental Tester to provide SETA support in Hanover, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning and executing developmental by accomplishing the following duties:
• Experience working with a system of systems and multiple Operating systems (Ubuntu, Windows, Kali)
• Coordinate with Prime Contractor to understand scope of their software testing efforts and release pipeline;
• Coordinate with appropriate personnel to understand how the system is utilized in the Production environment and develop test cases based on system user feedback;
• Execute software test cases;
• Provide reporting and documentation of test results to Government T&E Officer;
• Research test escapes and develop test cases/recommendations to overcome test escapes;
• Provide recommendations to Government T&E officer on how to improve developmental test;
• Support integrated Product Team meetings;
• Support the development of Acquisition documents (Test & Evaluation Strategy (TES) and other documentation described in the DoD 5000 series)
• Experience developing and executing test automation frameworks (PyTest, Xray, Zephyr)
• Familiarization with Atlassian products (JIRA and Confluence)

Systek determines its wages by many factors, including related experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, certifications, geographic location, contract labor category and wage rates, and organizational requirements. The estimated annual wage range at the time of job posting is $90-$140k, which represents the typical salary range for this position.
