Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Test Engineer to support development and verification of test methods and metrology processes. You will work on test procedures, instrumentation, and configuration definitions to perform tests and minimize risk, while coordinating test hardware assembly with manufacturing.

The role requires a BS degree in engineering or related fields, 2+ years of experience, and eligibility for U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Physics, Chemistry (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of related experience or equivalent education/experience
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift
  • U.S. Person for export compliance
  • U.S. Citizenship for security clearance; interim/final Secret clearance post-start
  • Employer will not sponsor employment visas
  • Preferred: 5+ years experience or equivalent
  • Preferred: LOTOTO training
  • Preferred: High Voltage Safety Training
  • Preferred: Troubleshooting electrical/electronics in production
  • Preferred: DIT-MCO Programming

  • Assist in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods
  • Develop test procedures, instrumentation, and configuration definitions to perform tests and minimize risk
  • Design component- and sub-assembly-level hardware or software and use analytical tools to verify designs
  • Assist in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware
  • Identify solutions to basic problems and support metrology process development
  • Support development of test debrief material
  • Participate in evaluation of test performance data
  • Review test data for accuracy, quality, and fidelity before delivery to the customer
  • Alert senior engineers to off-nominal data
  • Prepare test reports for review
  • Work under general supervision

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non‑US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift
  • U.S. Person required for U.S. export control compliance
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance required post‑start
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Subject to drug testing when criteria are met
  • Preferred: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred: Lock Out / Tag Out / Try Out (LOTOTO) Training
  • Preferred: High Voltage Safety Training
  • Preferred: Troubleshooting of electrical and electronics devices in a production environment
