Job summary

RTX, based at White Sands NM, seeks a Test Engineer to develop and update custom test equipment for launcher, radar, and missile systems. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and support design reviews to ensure project success.

Requirements include a STEM degree with 2+ years’ related experience, hands-on hardware integration, and C# software skills in a Windows environment. Domestic/international travel ~10–20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2 years of related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting with test equipment: oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, DMMs.
• Hands-on hardware integration and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating software using C# in Visual Studio on Windows.
• Experience reading or generating schematic diagrams.
• U.S. citizen able to obtain/maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and update test equipment hardware for launcher, radar, and missile systems.
• Support critical process gates, including design reviews, to ensure successful project execution.
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP connection-based systems and Circuit Card Assembly troubleshooting.
• Perform integration, verification, and qualification testing to ensure the system meets specifications.
• Work across disciplines to address program requirements while meeting cost and schedule objectives.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and a commitment to innovation in support of our mission.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (~10–20%).
