Job summary

RTX is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer to support the MCVC at White Sands NM. You will help test and validate MFMS hardware, perform calibrations, analyze radar data, and diagnose issues during operations. Occasional travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations is required.

The role requires a STEM degree and at least 2 years of engineering experience, with familiarity in UNIX/Linux, instrumentation, and RF equipment. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 years of engineering experience.
Experience with IF and/or RF equipment, IHawk computer, digital logic, and peripheral hardware.
Experience with UNIX and/or Linux.
Experience with instrumentation and test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer).
MATLAB experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct system interface, monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, repair, modifications, and verification to ensure operational equipment performance.
Perform calibrations of the system hardware to ensure tolerances for real-time operations.
Provide quick resolution of system problems/failures that occur during operations.
Analyze radar and MFMS data test results and data collection activities.
Travel to remote and domestic locations (CONUS/OCONUS), approximately 15%.
