Job summary

ITT Aerospace Controls is seeking an experienced Test Engineering Supervisor to lead the on-site Test Lab at Valencia, California. You will manage Test personnel, coordinate program testing, and drive improvements in test capabilities and equipment.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in aerospace or regulated manufacturing, plus 2+ years of leadership. Strong communication with senior leadership and cross-functional teams is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• 2+ years of experience leading or coordinating technical personnel and test activities.
• Experience planning, executing, or supporting product qualification, development, or environmental testing.
• Thorough understanding of Product Test, Test Equipment, and Test Fixturing (design and legacy sustainment).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Test Lab activity and direct program testing across Valencia's product families.
• Communicate effectively with staff, senior leadership, and customers.
• Balance testing activities for production, NPI, and R&D with business priorities.
• Lead and oversee new equipment, tooling, and fixturing efforts; support existing test equipment.
• Propose and implement improvement plans and PARs as needed.
• Support knowledge sharing and process adherence across teams.
• Develop relationships with peers, design engineering, and operations staff.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and counseling junior staff.
• Ensure adherence to Quality and Auditable standards.
