Job summary

ITT Aerospace Controls is seeking an experienced Test Engineering Supervisor to lead Valencia's Test Lab and manage test personnel and programs on-site in Valencia, California.

The ideal candidate has a background as a Test Engineer, Project Engineer, or Technical Lead, with strong communication skills to engage with leaders and multiple functions, and a proven ability to drive improvements in test capabilities and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
• 5 years of experience in aerospace, defense, industrial, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• 2 years of experience leading, supervising, or coordinating technical personnel and test activities.
• Experience planning, executing, or supporting product qualification, development, production, or environmental testing.
• Thorough understanding of Product Test, Test Equipment, and Test Fixturing (design and legacy sustainment).
• Ability to work on-site in Valencia, California.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Test Lab activity and direct program testing functions across Valencia's product families.
• Effective communication to staff, senior leadership and customers.
• Balance testing activities with production, new product introduction, and R&D priorities.
• Lead new equipment, tooling, and fixturing efforts and support existing test equipment.
• Propose and implement improvement plans and PARs as needed.
• Support cross-team communication to ensure knowledge sharing and process adherence.
• Develop relationships with peers, design engineering, and operations staff.
• Support technical proposals and BOE generation for testing activities.
• Document test reports, analysis, and results with concise reporting.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and counseling junior staff.
• Ensure adherence to Quality and Auditable standards.
