Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an experienced engineer to support development engine tests and functional validation across Commercial, Military, and Industrial P&W product lines. You will develop functional understanding with analytical tools and testing data, and coordinate instrumentation requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science & Technology.
  • 5 years of engineering experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years of engineering experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Previous experience in the test environment or engine data analysis preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with project planning, risk assessment and mitigation, probabilistic analysis, and root cause analysis in the product test environment preferred.
  • Experience with test planning, instrumentation requirements, pre-test predictions, and on-site test coverage, test data management and validation preferred.
  • Two years’ experience with test data analysis, test reporting and test conclusions preferred.
  • Results orientation, teamwork, communication skills, analytical thinking, adaptability, and continuous learning.

  • Perform first-pass post-test data analysis.
  • Prepare test reports and documentation for propulsion systems tests and functional validation.
  • Lead TEA engine teams and technical projects.
  • Develop leadership skills and mentor junior team members.
  • Participate in discipline improvement activities and knowledge management.
  • Interact with EDSI Systems Analysis Groups, Module Centers, Controls, Instrumentation, IT, and Product Validation Groups.
  • Perform required travel, off-shift, and weekend work at engine test sites and customer/partner sites.
