AMPERA INC in New York is seeking a hands-on Electrical Technician to support the R&D team with safe installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and meticulous documentation of electrical equipment and assemblies.

The role requires reading schematics, assembling and wiring equipment, and performing tests with proper safety procedures. Strong teamwork and precise record-keeping are essential to ensure equipment readiness and quality.

Qualifications

Read and produce schematics, terminate and label wiring, use electrical test equipment, and troubleshoot systematically.
Able to work safely in laboratory, shop, manufacturing, commercial, or industrial environments.
Clear communication and meticulous documentation.
Hands-on electrical experience or relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

Interpret and update electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Assemble, wire, label, install, and modify electrical equipment.
Test and troubleshoot using appropriate electrical test instruments.
Support preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and equipment readiness.
Follow electrical safety procedures, including energy isolation and PPE.
Document configurations, test results, maintenance actions, and changes clearly.
