Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Plymouth, MN seeks an experienced Test Engineer to lead lifecycle testing, data acquisition, and analysis for energetic devices. You will plan and execute test programs, interface with customers, and ensure safe, reliable test activities.

The role requires leadership, proficiency with data analysis tools, and the ability to travel. U.S. citizen with DoD clearance eligibility is preferred. Location is on-site in Plymouth, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; 2+ years experience or Master’s degree
• Master’s degree in engineering with 3+ years experience for level 3
• Proficiency with data/signal analysis tools (MATLAB, Excel, Python) and strong writing skills

Responsibilities

• Develop standard test products/documentation (plans, reports, procedures)
• Develop test methods for climatic, vibration, EMI/E3 testing and safety/reliability testing
• Identify data collection and instrumentation needs; analyze results
• Coordinate with internal/external test facilities and assets
• Provide test execution oversight
• Manage test resources, schedules, and cost accounts
• Support testing, evaluation, and requirements validation for systems/subsystems
• Assist with test issue resolution and failure analysis
• Support major program reviews (SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, SVR)
• Willingness to work with hazardous devices with proper training
• Ability to travel ~20% (up to ~50%)
