Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat currently seeks a Test Engineer to support the SWS Test program for the Columbia Class. The role includes coordinating test documentation across hulls, developing schedules, reviewing procedures, and ensuring alignment with event plans.

Strong collaboration with Planning, Engineering, and EB trades is essential. The candidate should have a HS diploma or GED and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with formal certification processes or documentation control is required.
• Experience developing or maintaining technical drawings, test equipment diagrams, or supporting documents.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DOD security clearance and CAC.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate & develop test documentation for multiple hulls aligning with program goals and events.
• Develop and maintain long-range test schedules and plans.
• Track ship installation progress to align with test addendum issuance.
• Support Test Execution with approved procedures.
• Review Test Procedures, TCIs & Test Certification processes.
• Interface with SSP, SWSPO TDG, PMS 397 and related contractors.
• Support travel between facilities as needed.
