Job summary

Doosan Bobcat NA US in Bismarck is seeking a Test Engineer Student Experience for Spring 2027. You will gain hands-on experience by developing tests, evaluating performance, and determining loads, while operating machines under controlled conditions.

You'll work with engineers across product engineering and manufacturing, learn through real projects, and have the chance to explore full-time opportunities after graduation. Competitive pay and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Freshman to Senior standing in engineering disciplines as listed.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Must commit to the full term (8 months co-op or 4 months internship).
• Working knowledge of MS Office and basic drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop tests to evaluate functionality and performance.
• Determine and test the necessary components.
• Determine loads/conditions (voltage, temperature, vibration).
• Determine physical parameters and monitoring methods.
• Operate machines or simulators under controlled conditions.
• Record and analyze data.
• Build or rework prototypes as design changes are made.
• Set up and operate a structural fatigue test.
• Conduct specifications testing on a working model.

Job Requirement

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior,or Seniorstanding in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
• 3.0 or higher GPA preferred
• Be able to commit to Bobcat for the entire term of the co‑op (8 months) or internship (4-months)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of drafting software preferred (ProE/Creoor Solid Works)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Project management skills are preferred
• Travel Required: <10%

The salary range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience and other factors.
