Job summary

Emerald Technologies in Saline, MI is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and sustain test systems for PCB assemblies. You will support NPI, production troubleshooting, and continuous improvement with ICT, Flying Probe, and Functional Test capabilities.

The role emphasizes designing test fixtures, evaluating designs against test strategies, and improving test reliability. A strong background in PCB test and electronics is required for success in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years in electronics manufacturing, test engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with ICT, Flying Probe, Functional Test, and electronic troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes, schematics, and test methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and support production test solutions including ICT, Flying Probe, Functional Test, thermal cycling, vibration, shock, and customer-specific testing.
• Evaluate product designs and customer requirements to determine test strategies and coverage.
• Design and support test fixtures, hardware interfaces, software applications, and documentation.
• Participate in Design for Testability (DFT) reviews during NPI activities.
• Troubleshoot failures using structured root cause analysis and improve test system reliability.
