Job summary

Teradyne’s Semiconductor Test Division is seeking a Process Engineer to develop structural PCBA tests and implement test solutions. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality and reliability across production using ICT and flying probe platforms.

Responsibilities include integration with hardware groups, influencing PCB design, and driving ICT fixture development and production readiness. Travel about 10% and competitive compensation are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electronics preferred).
• 2+ years in printed circuit board assembly testing.
• Proficiency with ICT test development on Teradyne Test Station or equivalent.
• Experience with ICT fixture development and fabrication processes.
• Measurement techniques and process controls for yield analysis; CP/CPK a plus.
• PCB layout/design review software such as Cadence Allegro or Valor; EMS/CM collaboration desirable.
• Scripting in Perl or Python; Visual Basic / C# .NET a plus.
• Approximately 10% travel; periodic calls with Asian teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with Hardware Development to develop structural test strategies for PCBs at each quality gate including flying probe and ICT platforms.
• Collaborate with SW/HW/Pilot Lines/Operations in test development planning and execution.
• Influence PCB component selection, schematic and layout to meet quality and testing objectives.
• Drive contract manufacturing for Flying Probe and ICT development including fixture/program development, quotes, schedules, validation and release to production.
• Innovate methods to improve gate processes, efficiency, and best practices.
