Base is building a next-generation power company that deploys distributed batteries to modernize the grid. We are hiring a Test Engineer to develop and sustain automated manufacturing test systems for battery backup production and ensure world-class quality and reliability on the line.

As a Test Engineer, you will lead uptime improvements, collaborate with engineering and operations, and deploy testers across production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical test systems design.
• Exposure to test/automation systems and production machinery.
• Hands-on end-of-line and functional test system design.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of grid simulators, RLC power manipulation, inverter operations, and power system controls.
• Ability to read software code (TestStand, LabVIEW, Python, Golang, C, C++).
• Experience with CAN bus communications and trace interpretation.
• Basic PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Siemens).
• Strong ability to summarize data for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead uptime, cycle time, and FPY improvements on manufacturing test equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed equipment expectations.
• Perform data analysis and VOC discussions to address equipment challenges.
• Serve as a key contact for design teams and site operations.
• Build, validate, and deploy test equipment to production lines and contractors.
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting support for testers post-deployment.
• Support equipment troubleshooting and qualification during development and ramp-up.
