Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, invites applications for an Internship Test Intern role. You will work on Automated Functional Test Equipment, programming software, and Hipot Test Equipment, developing test programs used in manufacturing processes.

The position targets students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields. You will interact with team leaders, engineers and technicians while contributing to ongoing test projects and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a related engineering field for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support development, installation and sustains test and inspection programs for one or multiple manufacturing test platforms.
• Assist in development of specific function training, assembly build instructions, or other training to operate the equipment.
• Assist operators and technicians with trouble shooting and debugging test equipment and software.
• Support continuous improvement via data monitoring of yields and cost-down opportunities.
• Collaborate with planners and supervisors to align with production schedules.
• Assist in test/program acceptance and calibration of equipment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related Engineering field
