Job summary

Game Seven Staffing in Goleta, CA is seeking a Test Engineer 2 on a 12-month contract to design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment for standard and special devices. The role covers test planning, setup, execution, data reduction, reporting, and post-data processing, with collaboration across product teams and customers.

The position requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of test experience, along with experience in testing automation or lean methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with testing experience.
Ability to troubleshoot test equipment, tooling, and harnesses.
Experience with testing automation or lean manufacturing/testing methodologies.
Demonstrated technical writing and/or procedure development skills.
Approximately 10% travel between Oxnard, CA and Goleta, CA sites; U.S. Citizenship required.
Support working 1st shift 7am–4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm–Midnight.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
Plan and arrange labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluating devices.
Test customer samples and perform tests not possible in the test area.
Perform product testing across planning, setup, execution, data reduction, and reporting.
Integrate products with test tooling, software, and instrumentation.
Produce test documentation through technical writing.
Participate in internal and external customer reviews.
Use modern tools to reduce testing cost and schedule.
