Zusammenfassung

Vytwo is seeking a Software Test Engineer with Lab Exp to join our lab-focused testing team in San Diego. The role involves hands-on testing of Next Generation Sequencing platform software and embedded instrument software, with required presence in the lab five days a week.

You will design and execute test cases, automate with Playwright and TypeScript, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA in an Agile environment.

Job Description

Worked in Next Generation Sequencing platform software or similar Worked on Instrument/Embedded systems software testing. Need to be present in the lab 5 days a week as the role is to work on the instruments.

Programming Languages

Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript/Typescript, Groovy or Python. Proficiency in linux shell scripting.

Test Automation Frameworks

Must have Knowledge of popular test automation frameworks and particularly Playwright + TypeScript .

Web Technologies

Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

API Testing

Familiarity with API testing and understanding of RESTful APIs.

Version Control Systems

Experience with version control systems like Git for managing test scripts and collaborating with other team members.

CI/CD Pipelines

Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and experience with Jenkins.

Test Case Design

Ability to design effective and efficient test cases covering different scenarios and edge cases, as well as understanding of test data management. Familiarity with Test Management tools such as Jama/HPALM with a level of managing/creating Requirements/Specification/Test Cases/RTM and Test summary reports in the tool for tracking User Needs to Report artificats.

Problem-solving Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, troubleshoot failures, and debug automation scripts.

Agile Methodologies

Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

Communication Skills

Effective communication skills to collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
