Qualifications

• Approximately 10% travel between Oxnard, CA and Goleta, CA sites; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Support working 1st shift 7am–4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm–Midnight.

Responsibilities

End Product

• Testing methods and equipment for standard and special devices
• Test data, defined changes to testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements
• Customer sample test results and special tests that cannot be performed in the test area

Tech / Domain Environment

• Operating Unit product testing environment spanning test planning, coordinating, setup, execution, data reduction, test reporting, and post-data processing
• Test tooling, software, equipment, instrumentation, and test harnesses
• Jira and Confluence
• Accountability to the Operations Test Engineering Manager for meeting Operations Test Engineering safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations within entire product value streams.

Job Duties

• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment

Must Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of test experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM
• Troubleshoot test equipment, test tooling, and test harnesses
• Experience with testing automation or other lean manufacturing/testing methodologies
• Demonstrated technical writing and/or procedure development skills
• Travel approximately 10% between the Oxnard, CA, and Goleta, CA sites and to support customers
• U.S. Citizenship
• Support working 1st shift 7am to 4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of test engineering-specific experience
• Proficiency in test automation software such as LabVIEW for product testing
• Proficiency in measuring and controlling electronic components such as motors, actuators, positional sensing devices, and load transducers
• Experience in the aerospace or aeronautical industry
• Excellent presentation, oral, written, and listening communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to organize and prioritize job assignments and tasks
• Ability to work independently, in an integrated team, and adapt to change and dynamic requirements
