Job summary

Ultra I&C is seeking a motivated Test Engineer to join the Integration and Test team supporting DoD programs. You will plan, execute, and document system-level integration and functional tests to support government certification activities.

This early to mid-career role offers exposure to Tactical Data Links, multi-domain operations, and a path to hands-on expertise in defense testing and DoD validation processes.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to manage tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present technical material to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (Secret or above). Active clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support test planning, test case development, and test execution for program integration and functional testing activities.
• Perform usability checks and verification on agile developed product for future warfighters.
• Document test procedures, results, anomaly reports, and test summaries per program standards.
• Assist in configuring and maintaining test environments, including hardware and software baselines.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and government stakeholders to resolve test discrepancies and track corrective actions.
• Contribute to test automation efforts and toolchain integration (Jira, JAMA, GitLab).
• Support SCT preparation and execution with government test agencies.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Provide clear status updates to the Integration and Test Manager.
