Job summary

Raxium in Fremont, CA seeks an engineer to lead the design, deployment, and validation of optoelectronics test systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. You will work hands-on with test hardware, software, and data pipelines, plus scripting in SQL or Python.

Collaborate with contract manufacturers and cross-functional teams to optimize metrology workflows, mentor junior staff, and drive scalable test strategies in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in optoelectronics test, display metrology, or semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• 4 years of experience deploying, validating, and debugging semiconductor hardware test systems.
• 4 years of experience writing and debugging test system software.
• Experience scripting in SQL or Python.

• Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) or managing remote test fleets in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Experience in Python and SQL for building automated data pipelines, tool deployment scripts, or system monitoring dashboards.
• Experience in automating manual engineering workflows (e.g., automated Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), one-click Software deployment) to drive operational scalability.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional partners to align on test strategies.
• Ability to lead complex technical projects with high ambiguity and shifting priorities.
