Job summary

NS2 Mission in Northern Virginia is seeking a Test Engineer to join our mission-critical software validation efforts. You will develop and execute test strategies, validate enterprise applications, and improve testing processes across complex environments.

Collaborating with developers, systems engineers, and program stakeholders, you''ll identify defects, support QA activities through the SDLC, and help deliver high-quality software. Experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting software testing and QA activities.
• Experience creating and executing test plans and cases.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Understanding of SDLC and QA best practices.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases to validate functionality.
• Identify and track defects and assist in resolution.
• Support QA activities across the SDLC to ensure standards.
• Participate in reviews of requirements, designs, and test plans.
• Evaluate software/hardware and supporting docs for usability and readiness.
• Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and stakeholders to determine testing needs.
• Contribute to automated testing solutions to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Support regression, integration, functional, and UAT testing.
• Use GitHub, Jira, Confluence to support testing, tracking, and docs.
• Help improve testing processes and QA methodologies.
