Job summary
Amentum is seeking a Test Engineer to join our Dahlgren, VA team on the SLCM-N Program. You will work in a cross-functional Scrum team with a focus on testing, automation, and DevSecOps practices.
The role involves designing test cases, executing tests, and supporting automated testing across distributed systems. A Secret clearance is required, with U.S. citizenship. Amentum offers competitive compensation and benefits.
Qualifications
- BS or five years of demonstrated knowledge in engineering/science or testing.
- Five years of experience with nuclear operations, nuclear command and control, strategic weapons, or national-level programs.
- Five years of software engineering experience in real-time weapon/command/intelligence systems, incl. requirements.
- Three years of software requirements analysis, design tradeoffs, DOORS usage, and software spec development.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing within an Agile Scrum team with focus on testing.
- Support test-driven development activities.
- Contribute to automated testing at multiple levels (unit, integration, system, end-to-end).
- Execute and analyze test cases and design effective test data.
- Test distributed systems, databases, app servers, and web front ends.
- Perform unit testing with JUnit/Jest and code coverage tools (JaCoCo).
- Use UI testing tools (Graphene/Selenium) and load-testing tools (JMeter).
- Apply DevSecOps tools and workflows (Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, CI/CD).
- Use Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence; work with stakeholders.
