Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Test Engineer to lead customer test projects from planning through completion in an aerospace and defense oriented lab. The role emphasizes meticulous execution, data acquisition, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will design test fixtures, operate advanced test equipment, and supervise technicians. Strong communication with customers and internal teams is essential to ensure quality and on-time results.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field (Mechanical/Electrical/Physics) with relevant lab/test experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems and test equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute customer test projects from planning to completion per statements of work and requirements.
• Independently design, set up, instrument, and oversee test activities per plans and instructions.
• Operate DAQ systems, environmental chambers, vibration/shock systems, and measurement transducers.
• Design and assemble test fixtures per requirements and standards.
• Lead test technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate test execution.
• Author test plans, procedures, and technical documentation to support execution and compliance.
• Analyze and document test data to ensure accurate results and traceability.
• Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and status meetings.
