Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Test Engineer to design, develop, and support automated test systems for PCBs and control units in a hands-on lab environment.

You will build robust test solutions using LabVIEW and other programming languages to ensure products meet stringent performance and reliability standards, collaborating with design engineers on new development and test methodology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of test engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong hands-on test engineering background with electronic or electromechanical products.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining test solutions in LabVIEW (required).
  • Experience with automated test development and coding for electronic systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a lab or test environment.
  • Proficiency using test equipment and instrumentation for electronic and electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with software testing and automated test frameworks.
  • Background in designing or supporting test systems for PCBs and control units.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support automated test systems for PCBs, control units, and new product development projects.

  • Partner closely with design engineers to develop, refine, and validate test methods for new products.
  • Document test results, procedures, and technical reports in a clear and organized manner.
  • Use electronic test equipment and tools to execute tests, verify functionality, and diagnose issues.
  • Continuously improve automated test solutions to enhance reliability, coverage, and efficiency.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Twinsburg, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $57.69/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
