The Test Engineer is responsible for supporting the Equipment Testing team in the execution of equipment testing activities. The mission of the testing team is to complete all testing safely, accurately, and efficiently.
The Test Engineer supports this mission by maintaining and improving laboratory equipment, ensuring testing systems remain in control, and coordinating repairs/maintenance with outside parties as needed. This role is also responsible for the design, development, and implementation of new testing equipment and methodologies, managing projects from initial concept and project charter through final reporting and deployment.
In addition, the Test Engineer conducts testing of golf equipment for Equipment Rules conformance, Test Service activities, and research initiatives. During periods of increased workload, the Test Engineer plays a key role in helping the team achieve established performance and KPI targets.
The Test Engineer is expected to work independently with minimal supervision and is responsible for organizing work priorities, performing quality control checks, analyzing data, and preparing clear and accurate technical summaries and reports. Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills are essential. Occasional travel may be required to support field testing and other testing-related activities.
This role will be based at our Pinehurst, NC campus. Employees are expected to spend 5 days per week working in the office. Occasional travel may be required to support field testing and other testing-related activities.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000
The annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 . This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications. In addition to your base compensation, the USGA provides competitive benefit offerings for all full-time employees.
