Job summary

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, located in Fontana, CA, is seeking a Test Engineer to support testing for manufacturing projects under the Electrical Engineering Manager. You will perform AC/DC functional testing on protection relays, MV switchgear, MV breakers, and related components to ensure conformance with project specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 2–4 years of related experience, with strong problem-solving and documentation skills

• Knowledge of testing three-phase AC and DC power distribution circuits and troubleshooting.

The Electrical Test Engineer will contribute to the overall testing of manufacturing projects related to relay panels, control buildings, and medium voltage switchgears.**What a typical day looks like:*** Maintains testing schedule per Crown project schedule and production schedule in partnership with Production Leaders and Engineering Department.* Monitors testing status daily; gathers feedback from all test technicians.* Reviews project specifications and implement testing procedures to comply with project requirements.* Reviews test plans of all projects against schematics with test technicians before submittal.* Maintains test folder for all projects with relevant test reports, test drawings, and test pictures.* Reviews and maintains testing equipment list with Test Technicians.* Creates and maintains test procedures, including testing forms.* Performs power testing of protective relay panels, medium voltage switchgear line-ups, test communication, and HMI components on the relay panel.
