Job Summary

Performs test lab initiatives for the qualification of products for safety, performance, and reliability under the direction of the engineering team. Conducts and documents qualification tests for new or modified products or components, selects test equipment and procedures, conducts tests, records and evaluates data, and reports findings.

Essential Functions

• Performs test lab activities to ensure safe, accurate, and timely product qualification testing; maintains an organized lab workspace.
• Reviews electrical safety standards (UL, CSA, IEC, etc.) and performs testing according to these standards.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment; develops test methods for product validation.
• Collaborates with engineers to develop and verify new test methods supporting product development and compliance.
• Maintains test procedures for review by certification bodies and manages communication with third-party certifiers.
• Conducts tests and experiments, sets up test setups, and troubleshoots operational issues.
• Participates in product design reviews and supports development projects with testing and reporting.
• Provides progress reports through written and oral communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years of electromechanical or electronics experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
• Understanding of electromechanical control systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience with AC and DC power systems and safety practices.
• Knowledge of product qualification testing, safety, and reliability standards (UL, NSF, CE, etc.).
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems is a plus.
• Experience with ISO/IEC Standard 17025 quality management systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with data collection, measurement tools, and software such as NI LabView is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
