Job Description

SUMMARY

Support the Rating Career Domain Continuum (RCDC) Task Order under the Navy's Learning Stack program by leading automated testing efforts for integrated web-based learning platforms operating in hybrid environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, design, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks that validate software functionality, performance, and security compliance across CI/CD pipelines, cloud-based, and DoD networks.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright for complex web applications.
  • Design and manage test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Align automated test planning with acceptance criteria defined in Agile sprints and link to the Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RTVM).
  • Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers, Software Developers, and Cybersecurity staff to ensure full test coverage, including for Section 508 compliance.
  • Develop test scenarios for performance, security, integration, and regression testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Document and maintain test cases, procedures, results, and metrics aligned with contract deliverables.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and participate in root cause analysis.
  • Support defect tracking, resolution, and retesting through Jira or equivalent agile tracking tools.
  • Maintain and tune test environments to mirror production and support RPOC onboarding and certification activities.
  • Participate in IPTs, sprint planning, and stakeholder demonstrations to provide testing insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in automated testing and validation of enterprise applications.
  • Proven experience in test scripting, framework maintenance, and CI/CD integration.
  • Strong working knowledge of DevSecOps, agile testing methodologies, and test data management.
  • Familiarity with RMF and DoD cybersecurity requirements, including secure coding and vulnerability scanning.
  • Experience with version control (Git), agile boards (Jira), and documentation platforms (Confluence).
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent CSWF certification.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing test automation in Agile DevSecOps environments.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain Secret clearance (generally, this requires U.S. Citizenship).
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
  • Experience supporting testing across AWS GovCloud, DevSecOps environments, or DoD-approved cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of FIPS 140-2 encryption standards and integration of test logging with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
  • Experience testing REST APIs and microservices using Postman or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of requirements traceability, software assurance, and test-driven development principles.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is less than 25%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 20 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE

  • Pay range: $80,000to $110,000per year.
