Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Test Engineer to join our team at Crane NSWC in Crane, IN. The role focuses on designing, developing, and executing end-to-end tests for complex, high-speed digital and RF systems using a wide range of test equipment.

The candidate will create test code, TPS sets, and LASAR-based stimuli, while supporting EW test benches and WRAs/SRAs integration with ATE. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (2 years in electronics testing), US

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in an electronics engineering role, with a focus on testing and validation.
• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance. New hire can start with interim secret clearance.
• Experience programming in NI LabVIEW.
• Experience with high-speed digital and RF test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators).
• Strong understanding of digital and RF principles.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and running automated test systems and Software.
• Programming Languages: C, C++, C#, L200,
• Test Executives: TestStand
• Simulation Software: LASAR.
• Additional Software: Lab Windows

Responsibilities

• Developing test code routines, Interface Test Adapters (ITAs), Operational Test Program Hardware, and all associated documentation.
• Developing each Test Program Set (TPS) as a screen-only or fault detection test in accordance with established requirements.
• Creating stimulus and response test vectors to achieve fault detection ratings using LASAR.
• Designing hardware and software interface devices to integrate WRAs and/or SRAs with Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Developing operator instructions for each electronic Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and delivering them in electronic media format.
• Provide life cycle sustainment support to existing TPSs, including corrections, modifications, and enhancements required to repair and maintain airborne or surface electronic systems and modules.
• Support EW test systems including: CASS, Spectrum 9100, EW Common Test Bench, EW Custom Test Bench, and others; Develop, modify, and update electronic test, troubleshooting, diagnostic, and environmental screening capability for EW systems, subsystems, equipment, and components.

This position requires a candidate with a background in electronics engineering and a proven track record in designing, developing, and executing end-to-end tests for complex, high-speed digital and RF systems. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of test methodologies and hands‑on experience with a wide range of test equipment and processes, including:

• Developing test code routines, Interface Test Adapters (ITAs), Operational Test Program Hardware, and all associated documentation.

• Developing operator instructions for each electronic Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and delivering them in electronic media format".

• Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA).

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
