We are seeking a motivated Wing Engineer / Test Engineer to support engine dynamometer testing, troubleshooting, and test article support in a fast‑paced engineering environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in engine testing, facility controls, instrumentation, and emissions testing who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and collaborating across teams to improve testing processes and product development timelines.
This position offers the opportunity to work on both conventional internal combustion engines and battery electric vehicle technologies while supporting advanced testing and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engine dynamometer testing, including troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation and engine/test article issues
- Support and maintain facility controls, PLCs, and engine/test instrumentation systems
- Assist with emissions testing and support government‑mandated emissions testing for internal combustion engines
- Analyze test data and quickly identify and resolve testing or data‑related issues
- Collaborate with Calibration Engineers to develop test schedules and implement control strategies using dyno control software
- Work closely with internal software teams to improve testing methods, product quality, and development efficiency
- Support testing activities for both conventional and battery electric vehicle applications
- Contribute to a team‑oriented environment focused on achieving shared engineering and development goals
- Provide technical support and training related to INCA software and hardware
- Assist with hardware project management and continuous improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engine dynamometer testing environment
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems and data analysis techniques
- Experience with hardware project management
- Understanding of computer control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in an engineering discipline
- Familiarity with internal combustion engine (ICE) and battery electric vehicle systems
- Experience with combustion analysis equipment and data interpretation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience using Matlab and Python
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development and delivery
