Job Location
This position is based out of Waynesboro, VA and will be 100% on-site.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design creative and flexible hardware solutions with a motivated team of experts.
- Console design, interface panel layouts and interconnections, power/cooling monitoring and control, RF design, electronic circuit design, and SW/HW integration.
- Requirements verification.
- Actively support the investigation, resolution, and documentation of product anomalies.
- Understand design to cost, scope and schedule.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 14 years of experience, master’s with 12 years, Ph.D. with 10 years in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or related fields; or equivalent experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Experience in hardware design, integrated analog/power/digital hardware, panel design, cable design, and schematic layouts.
- Experience with lab test equipment (e.g., network analyzers, DMMs, oscilloscopes).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in engineering or related STEM discipline.
- Automated Test Equipment (ATE) design and integration background.
- Ability to work with minimal direction.
- Experience with LabWindows CVI, C/C++ programming, and TestStand programming.
- Proficiency with digital, analog, RF test equipment, RF theory and high-speed digital design.
- Familiarity with differential digital interfaces such as LVDS, PXI/PXIe, and VME bus.
- Experience with schematic design tools (Mentor Graphics, Zuken, Capital, etc.).
- Hands‑on troubleshooting with electrical hardware and software automation.
- PCB layout experience.
- Technical lead experience.
- Active Secret or higher clearance.
Salary & Benefits
- Primary Level Salary Range: $151,400.00 – $227,000.00.
