The Test Center Proctor at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, welcomes and assists students, ensures proper setup, and monitors test administration according to established guidelines.
The position offers various part-time shifts (Mon–Fri, 8:00–5:30) with some evenings possible. A high school diploma or GED is required, and prior test center or student-facing experience is preferred.
The Test Center Proctor is responsible for greeting students, making sure the test center is set up appropriately based on student needs, and monitoring test administration following established guidelines.
Education/Skills Requirements
High school diploma or GED required. Ability to use good judgement and strong customer services skills is required. Knowledge of test center software and/or adaptive technology is preferred.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
Prior experience working in a test center environment is preferred. Prior experience working with students in a classroom or similar setting is preferred.
Standard Work Days and Hours
Various part-time shifts are available throughout the standard work week (M-F, 8:00-5:30) with some evening hours possible.
