Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Test Automation Analyst to design, build, and maintain automated tests and an in-house automation framework for critical customer workflows.

You will work with product and technology partners to translate requirements into test scenarios, reduce flakiness, and surface quality risks early. You will contribute to the automation strategy, strengthen test reliability, and help ensure changes are released with confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1+ years of experience maintaining test automation frameworks.
• 1+ years of experience manually testing APIs using tools such as Postman.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and a test framework such as Cucumber.
• Working knowledge of Java and core automation concepts.
• Understanding of web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Ability to select stable locator strategies and appropriate waits.
• Experience with version control and CI tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience using build tools and collaborating via code reviews.
• Strong communication skills to explain testing decisions and risks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests.
• Maintain and enhance an in-house automation framework.
• Translate acceptance criteria into test scenarios and plans.
• Build maintainable test code using patterns like page objects.
• Create stable element locator strategies and explain tradeoffs.
• Diagnose and resolve common automation failures.
• Automate API validation and support manual testing when needed.
• Integrate automated tests into build and release pipelines.
• Communicate test progress, results, and issues to partners.
• Participate in team ceremonies and contribute to improvement.
