Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III to lead testing efforts on payments technology within a fast-paced agile team. You will define end-to-end test strategies, write automated test scripts, and ensure secure, scalable delivery of technology products across multiple business functions.

A strong background in automated testing and the Payments domain is essential. You will collaborate with Operations, Product and Technology groups, manage test schedules, and leverage AI-assisted

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining testing tools (Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium)
• Experience with payments domain testing and end-to-end testing
• Ability to define requirements, write user stories, and test scripts
• Experience with automated end-to-end testing across environments
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on day-to-day activities

Responsibilities

• Lead a test team with daily supervision and task allocation
• Provide accurate testing estimates in daily scrum
• Plan requirements against an End-to-End test strategy
• Lead daily Scrum Calls and coordinate with stakeholders
• Identify automation opportunities and test synergies
• Document and execute test scenarios using BDD (Gherkin)
• Monitor defects and re-testing, present test results for sign-off
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve quality and speed
