Job summary

Constellation West is seeking a Sr. AMDOTS Data/Software Engineer- SQL/C++ for the AMDOTS program at Peterson AFB, CO. The role is full-time and on-site at the base.

You will design and maintain automated data collection, ETL processes, and the AMDOTS Data Warehouse using SQL Server and C++ software, with RMU support.

U.S. citizenship is required; TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility, IAT Level II certification, and 10+ years of related experience are mandatory; periodic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in automated data collection and retrieval, data analysis, T-SQL, SQL Server development and administration, and C++ software development.
• IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M.
• TS security clearance with eligibility for SCI access; must have TS/SCI when required to work at classified facilities.

Responsibilities

• Install and support AMDOTS Remote Monitoring Units (RMUs) and related applications.
• Develop automated data collection, retrieval, processing, transmission, and reporting for the AMDOTS Data Warehouse.
• Upgrade and maintain ETL software, SQL Server scripts, procedures, maintenance plans, and automated reporting features.
• Develop software and documentation for data collection, retrieval, processing, and the AMDOTS Data Warehouse.
• Support OS installation/maintenance, software releases, site installations, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, contingency planning, and user support.
• Develop/update AMDOTS data-analysis training and procedures; travel to sites as required.

Position Summary:Senior data/software engineer supporting the Automated Message Data Observation and Test System (AMDOTS), including automated data collection/retrieval, AMDOTS Data Warehouse capabilities, ETL, SQL Server, C++ software, reporting, and RMU technical support.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, administer, maintain, configure, and support AMDOTS Remote Monitoring Units (RMUs), related applications, security, interfaces, and network configurations.
• Develop and maintain automated data collection, retrieval, processing, transmission, and reporting capabilities supporting the AMDOTS Data Warehouse.
• Upgrade and maintain ETL software source code and documentation, SQL Server database scripts, procedures, maintenance plans, and automated reporting features.
• Develop and deliver software and documentation for data collection, retrieval, processing, and the AMDOTS Data Warehouse.
• Support operating-system installation/maintenance, software releases, site installations, troubleshooting, technical documentation, disaster recovery, contingency planning, and user support.
• Develop/update AMDOTS data-analysis training and technical procedures; travel to sites as required.

Mandatory Qualifications - solicitation minimums

• 10 or more years of demonstrated experience in automated data collection and retrieval, data analysis, T-SQL, currently approved Microsoft SQL Server development and administration, and C++ software development.
• IAT Level II certification in accordance with the solicitation's cited DoD 8570.01-M requirement.
• TS security clearance with eligibility for SCI access; must have TS/SCI access when required to perform work at specified classified facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ETL development, data warehouses, automated reporting, source-code maintenance, RMUs, or mission-data collection systems.
• Experience documenting database/software configurations, interfaces, installation procedures, disaster recovery, and contingency plans.
• Experience supporting DoD mission systems in classified environments.
