Job summary

Constellation West is seeking a journeyman systems/network administrator to manage and secure IT equipment and support high-performing system and network operations at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado. The role emphasizes data backup, disaster recovery, access controls, and security compliance for DoD networks.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and hold a Secret clearance. Prior DoD security environments and related certifications are preferred.

• Perform system-wide integrity tests, apply required security vulnerability patches, install and maintain operating systems/applications, and provide system reports to the Government.

Location: Peterson Space Force Base, CO.

Position Summary:Journeyman systems/network administrator responsible for managing and controlling AMDOTS IT equipment and supporting secure, available, recoverable, and high-performing system/network operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, administer, maintain, and support internal and external networks and server operating systems.
• Create and test data backups and support system recoverability, disaster recovery, and contingency planning.
• Verify data/system integrity and define or implement database and system access controls.
• Maintain system/network availability and performance; troubleshoot performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Enforce system security, maintain system-administration policies, configuration-control/management plans, and mission-function system schemas.

Mandatory Qualifications - solicitation minimums

• At least 3 years of experience in internal/external network setup, configuration and support; network performance issues; operating-system installation and maintenance; and application installation and maintenance.
• At least a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering secure DoD networks and servers in classified environments.
• Experience with backup/recovery, vulnerability patching, access control, configuration management, system hardening, and network performance troubleshooting.
• Relevant DoD cybersecurity or system-administration certification(s).
