Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about insects and plants, able to learn new techniques, and capable of lifting up to 60 pounds while working both independently and as part of a team.
The Auburn University Bee Center is looking to hire a temporary employee for a honey bee technician position. The new hire will assist with bee-related research mainly outdoors under typical (hot and humid) Alabama conditions although some laboratory work is also expected. The technician will encounter stinging insects. An interest in insects/plants is preferred. The new hire should have an eagerness to learn new skills and the ability to work in often difficult physical environments.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License
