Job Description

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for exceeding new business production, direct written premium, and loss ratio goals annually by managing agents in an assigned market to increase market share through profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Fully Remote – Location specific to Southern IL, within 1.5 hours of Edwardsville, IL.
  2. Execute the business unit’s annual plan for growth, profitability, agency engagement, and new appointments under guidance from regional management.
  3. Promote NGACC’s insurance products to independent agency partners, including auto, homeowners, commercial vehicle, flood, and recreational vehicle (state-dependent).
  4. Integrate products with industry technology and rating platforms within the market and agencies.
  5. Consult with independent agencies, leveraging industry knowledge to promote products and gather market intelligence.
  6. Develop and maintain a pipeline for new agency appointments and support corporate agreements at the local level.
  7. Collaborate with product, pricing, and operations teams for stakeholder and risk analysis.
  8. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM software.
  9. Evaluate agency performance, identify training needs, and support strategic planning.
  10. Assist agencies in creating and adjusting short and long-term business plans.
  11. Act as the key liaison within the market to agencies and industry associations, field-facing four days a week.
  12. Increase quote and issuance flow beyond rate and underwriting trends filed in the market.
  13. Use data and reporting to identify trends, capitalize on opportunities, and address agency performance issues.
Qualifications:
  • Location specific to Southern IL, within 1.5 hours of Edwardsville, IL.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of sales management/leadership experience in personal lines or financial services.
  • Proven ability to develop internal relationships and achieve results.
  • Industry certifications and property & casualty licenses are preferred.
Additional Information

This role is an individual contributor position.

Compensation

Base pay range: $83,000 - $124,600 USD.
