Job Description

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for consistently exceeding agreed-upon new business production, direct written premium, loss ratio goals, and other KPIs on an annual basis by effectively managing agents in an assigned market to increase market share through profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Location: Fully Remote, specific to Southern IL, within 1.5 hours of Edwardsville, IL.
  2. Execute the business unit's annual plan (growth, profitability, agency engagement, new appointments) under the guidance of a Regional Sales Manager and/or Zone Director.
  3. Promote NGACC Insurance products to independent agency partners, including auto, homeowners, commercial vehicle, flood, and recreational vehicles (state availability dependent).
  4. Integrate products with industry technology and rating platforms within the market and agencies.
  5. Consult with independent agencies, leveraging knowledge of the industry, competitors, brokers, and associations to promote products and suggest market enhancements.
  6. Develop and maintain a pipeline for new agency appointments and support corporate agreements at the local level.
  7. Collaborate with Product, Pricing, and Operations teams to analyze market issues and risks.
  8. Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM software.
  9. Evaluate agency performance, identify training gaps, and ensure alignment with business plans.
  10. Assist agencies in creating strategic business plans, reviewing, and adjusting as needed.
  11. Act as a key company liaison within the market, field-facing four days a week, driving business initiatives.
  12. Increase quote and issuance flow beyond rates and underwriting trends filed in the market.
  13. Use data and reporting to identify trends, capitalize on opportunities, and address agency performance.
Qualifications:
  1. Location-specific: within 1.5 hours of Edwardsville, IL.
  2. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  3. At least 5 years of sales management/leadership experience in Personal Lines Carriers or Financial Services.
  4. Proven ability to develop internal relationships and achieve results.
  5. Industry certifications and property and casualty licenses are preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This is an individual contributor role.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $83,000 - $124,600 USD, depending on experience.
