Job description

Want to be part of one of the country’s fastest growing infrastructure businesses? MaxLiner, A Vortex Company, is a leading provider of trenchless pipeline rehabilitation solutions, delivering innovative cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) systems that help restore critical infrastructure.

Join a world-class organization at the forefront of the trenchless industry, where WE WIN BIG TOGETHER. Our culture is built on putting safety first, supporting one another, and delivering excellence in everything we do.

MaxLiner USA is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Territory Sales Manager to grow sales, develop new business, and strengthen customer relationships within an assigned geographic territory.

This is a hands-on, field-based sales role serving plumbing, drain cleaning, sewer rehabilitation, and underground infrastructure contractors. The Territory Sales Manager will help customers evaluate opportunities, select appropriate equipment and materials, and build their capabilities in trenchless rehabilitation.

The ideal candidate brings prior outside sales experience selling to home service companies, preferably plumbing and drain cleaning businesses, along with a strong new-business development mindset, disciplined account management, technical curiosity, and a commitment to customer success.

The position will require frequent travel throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Growth and Business Development
  • Own sales performance within the assigned territory, meeting or exceeding established revenue and gross-profit goals.
  • Develop and execute a territory business plan identifying priority markets, target accounts, and growth opportunities.
  • Proactively prospect through field visits, outbound calls, referrals, industry events, and coordinated marketing campaigns.
  • Identify contractors interested in adding or expanding trenchless pipe rehabilitation services.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and discovery through demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with business owners, operations leaders, purchasing teams, and field personnel.
  • Grow existing accounts by expanding product adoption, identifying additional applications, and increasing repeat purchases.
  • Maintain a consistent customer visit schedule and serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate with customer service, operations, and technical support to resolve issues and deliver a responsive customer experience.
  • Help transition new equipment buyers into active, recurring materials customers.
Product Knowledge and Field Support
  • Develop a working knowledge of Maxliner’s equipment, lining materials, consumables, and related rehabilitation solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations and coordinate equipment demonstrations and customer training with technical personnel.
  • Understand customer applications well enough to identify opportunities, ask effective questions, and involve technical specialists when needed.
  • Support customer onboarding and follow up after initial purchases to encourage successful adoption and continued use.
Sales Execution and Accountability
  • Maintain accurate, current CRM records, including account information, sales activities, opportunities, and next steps.
  • Provide reliable sales forecasts and communicate progress, risks, and support needs.
  • Prepare timely quotes and proposals consistent with company pricing and margin guidelines.
  • Partner with sales development and marketing resources to convert leads into qualified opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity, customer feedback, and market trends.
  • Represent Maxliner professionally at trade shows, industry meetings, and customer events.
Qualifications
Required
  • Prior outside sales experience selling products, equipment, or services directly to home service companies, preferably plumbing and drain cleaning businesses.
  • Demonstrated success prospecting, winning new customers, and growing existing accounts within an assigned territory.
  • Ability to build relationships with business owners, operations managers, purchasing teams, and field personnel. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to learn technical products and translate their capabilities into practical business value.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a field-based schedule independently.
  • Experience using CRM software and standard business applications.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
Preferred
  • Established relationships with plumbing and drain cleaning contractors within the assigned territory.
  • Experience selling drain cleaning equipment, pipe inspection systems, trenchless rehabilitation solutions, or related products.
  • Experience selling both equipment and recurring materials or consumables.
  • Experience conducting field demonstrations or coordinating technical sales support.
What Success Looks Like
  • Consistent achievement of revenue and gross-profit targets.
  • A healthy pipeline supported by regular prospecting and clear next steps.
  • New customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts.
  • Growth in recurring materials and consumables sales.
  • Accurate forecasting and disciplined CRM use.
