Job Description

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of Electronics and Controls residential HVACR portfolio through distributors and contractors. Electronics and Controls (White-Rodgers) has been a leading provider of heating and cooling solutions for residential applications for over 75 years.

This role involves developing long-term relationships with contractors and distribution partners, creating sales and marketing plans to increase sales in your territory. It offers an excellent opportunity to excel in a fast-paced environment, delivering value into the HVACR wholesale distribution channel.

This position is home-based and requires daily travel within the territory, primarily in the Philadelphia metro area, covering the eastern half of PA and NJ. It includes approximately 5-6 overnight trips per month.

Compensation and Benefits

Copeland offers a competitive salary, healthcare, 401k (75% match up to 5%), quarterly retirement contributions, tuition assistance, flexible work schedules, paid time off, and ongoing training.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans for thermostats, heating, and cooling controls.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, wholesalers, and distribution partners.
  • Lead engagement and demand generation activities.
  • Deliver training and merchandising programs.
  • Organize local marketing events and represent Copeland at trade shows.
  • Maintain sales records and provide product feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Sales.
  • At least 3 years of proven face-to-face sales experience.
  • Strong communication and business writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and travel daily within the territory.
  • Legal work authorization in the U.S. (no sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Over 2 years supporting HVACR wholesale distribution or similar technical sales experience.
  • Demonstrated sales competencies and learning agility.
  • Strong organizational and customer problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for Electronics and Controls products.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely and understand smart home technology.
