Job summary

Jobot is partnering with an established leader in rental equipment serving mining, industrial, construction and municipal customers. We’re seeking an Outside Sales Representative with an existing customer base and room to grow new accounts.

You’ll be field-based, meeting customers, visiting jobsites and collaborating with engineering resources and operations support. You’ll earn a competitive base with uncapped commissions and a ramp period guarantee, plus a suite of benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of successful outside, field or territory-based sales experience.
• Proven experience developing new business while growing existing customer accounts.
• Experience selling into equipment rental, construction, industrial, infrastructure, municipal or similar B2B markets.
• Comfortable building relationships through face-to-face customer meetings and jobsite visits.
• Self-directed and comfortable managing your day without constant supervision
• Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation and closing skills.
• CRM experience
• Equipment rental, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, pumps, dewatering, water/wastewater or heavy civil experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established customer base while developing new business.
• Build relationships with industrial, construction, commercial and municipal customers.
• Spend the majority of your week in the field meeting customers, visiting jobsites and identifying upcoming opportunities.
• Develop new accounts while expanding relationships and revenue within existing customers.
• Understand customer needs and recommend the right rental equipment and service solutions.
• Partner with internal engineering and operations teams on more technical customer applications.
• Prepare pricing, quotes and rental proposals and close new and repeat business.
• Coordinate with branch operations on equipment availability, delivery schedules and job requirements.
• Maintain customer activity, opportunities and pipeline information within the CRM.
• Participate in industry events, trade associations and local business-development activities
