Description

General Kinematics is the Premier Manufacturer of Vibrating Process Equipment for bulk material handling. From Vibratory Feeders to entire Process Systems, General Kinematics creates and provides the solutions customers require to process even the most difficult materials.

We are currently looking for a qualified Territory Sales Engineer to join our team to drive Company Sales, assist with marketing efforts, and product development for the assigned region. Communication with both internal and external customers within the company is an integral role of this position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving specific sales goals for both new equipment and aftermarket parts in the assigned region.
  • Lead the sales projects through the entire sales cycle; prospecting customers, presenting the company and products, working out specific solutions and preparing quotations toward negotiating contracts and closing the deal.
  • Travel extensively within the region of coverage.
  • Proactively work with GK Industry Directors and Component Sales Managers, as well as partnering with GK Engineering, and other departments, to provide customers with competitive and accurate proposals.
  • Engage outside manufacturer representatives to act as the main point of contact to assist in qualifying leads and develop the pipeline of prospects & customers.
  • Recognize potential GK solutions/equipment and aftermarket sales opportunities.
  • Develop well-defined product specifications for the overall design integrity of GK products.
  • Continually monitor the acceptability by the market of the company’s products in terms of quality, price, performance and sustainability. Prepare reports with recommendations and findings.
  • Perform Sales presentations and attend industry-specific trade shows as required.
  • Oversee and work with group members to continually improve the Sales Department in all of its functions.
  • Maintain weekly communication with North American Sales Manager, and submit a quarterly regional strategic plan.
  • Fully support the Company’s ISO objectives, policies, procedures, and the GK WAY program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering design is preferred.
  • Experience in material handling, manufacturing industry or vibratory equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, working knowledge of CAD is preferred.
  • Experience in capital equipment sales is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail & organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay: $75,000 to $125,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
