Rust Automation & Controls in Irvine, CA is hiring an Outside Sales Associate to join a fast-growing team. You will learn products during a 12-week cohort, travel with experienced reps, and then manage your own territory in Southern California.

This full-time role starts with on-the-job training and a clear path to higher earnings. The role emphasizes building lasting customer relationships, promoting industrial flow meters and valves, and delivering tailored solutions.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent industrial sales experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the territory, including overnight trips.
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and be coachable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently using internal resources.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain knowledge of Rust Automation & Controls products and solutions.
• Prospect and promote products within assigned accounts and territory.
• Grow territory sales and gross margin by expanding existing accounts and new relationships.
• Prepare quotations with Inside Sales and analyze specifications.
• Conduct joint sales calls with management and partners to strengthen relationships.
• Perform site walkdowns to assess needs and tailor solutions.
• Maintain CRM database with accounts, contacts, opportunities and projects.
