U.S. Bank seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator in California to originate loans in an assigned non-bank territory, take applications, perform preliminary underwriting, and coordinate with processing and underwriting for approval. You will spend about half of your time meeting clients away from U.S.

Bank locations. The role requires NMLS registration, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2+ years in Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate, plus strong sales ability and knowledge of underwriting

Qualifications

• NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act and Regulation Z; ongoing regulatory compliance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned non-bank territory and solicit loan sales.
• Take applications, conduct preliminary underwriting reviews, and submit to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Ensure required documents are secured timely from sources and follow up through closing.
• Spend at least 50% of time conducting activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
