Job summary

McClatchy Media in Denver, NC seeks a part-time Merchandiser to service multiple stores on a set schedule. Travel between accounts is expected and travel time is paid. On-site role with a fast-paced retail environment and strong emphasis on accuracy and professionalism.

Requirements include merchandising aptitude or willingness to learn, excellent communication, reliable transportation, and ability to use company apps. Background checks and drug testing apply.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Adherence to the company’s attendance policy.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
• Have personal cell phone and mobile device, such as a tablet.
• Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• 100% Merchandising: work within a retail environment to merchandise products and replenish stock following standards.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the hours provided by Supervisor, Merchandising.
• Contact Supervisor before working overtime or more than 10 hours in a day.
• Accurately record work hours and related information using designated apps.
• Discuss duties with Supervisor before performing additional tasks.
