Job summary

Syneos Health, Inc. is expanding a new Rare Disease team in Gaithersburg. The Territory Business Manager will drive sales and build relationships with Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists, executing strategic plans and delivering clinically-focused presentations that communicate therapeutic value across the territory.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years pharma sales, and strong CRM/MS Office proficiency. Travel is required; performance-based incentives may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business or a related field required.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience.
• 3+ years of GI/Hepatology sales experience/rare disease preferred.
• Consistent track record of top-tier sales accomplishments.
• Experience calling on Gastroenterologists/Hepatologists in the designated territory preferred.
• Ability to learn complex scientific information, apply technical proficiency and communicate effectively.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with autonomy.
• Strong technical & analytical skills including CRM, AI tools and MS Office.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and/or exceed sales goals within an assigned territory by executing an integrated territory plan.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with targeted physicians.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (FRMs, TLLs, Market Access, Medical, Marketing, Operations).
• Identify key influencers and manage interactions with top customers.
• Use data tools to inform strategies and business decisions.
• Demonstrate account-based selling and organized territory coverage.
• Manage territory budget to support sales activities and complete admin tasks on time.
