Emery Jensen Distribution, a subsidiary of Ace Hardware Corporation, sells and distributes hard-line products to independent Pro/Lumber, Paint, Hardware, and E-retailer customer segments.

Role Overview

The Territory Manager will be responsible for growing profitable sales with current and new Emery Jensen customers in the Greater NYC Metro Area. This includes increasing sales through weekly warehouse orders, convention sales opportunities, drop-ship programs, and other promotional activities. The manager will analyze each retailer, develop tailored sales strategies, manage customer relationships, and serve as the liaison between the customer and Emery Jensen Distribution. Attendance at industry trade shows such as The National Hardware Show and The IGC Show may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to meet annual sales and profit objectives within the assigned territory.
  2. Represent Emery Jensen Distribution professionally and ethically in all activities.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to grow the business.
  4. Prioritize weekly sales routes and calls to achieve goals.
  5. Communicate successes and challenges to the leadership team and internal support teams.
  6. Collaborate with team members to share ideas and sales strategies.
  7. Manage expenses judiciously, including travel and entertainment costs.
Qualifications
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and solutions-focused.
  • Preferably 5+ years of B2B sales experience; hardware sales experience is a plus.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to sit for long periods, stand, climb ladders, and lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual skills are strongly preferred.
  • Residence in the Greater NYC Metro area is preferred.
Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000. Additional benefits include:
